Private Schools Resourcing Information
This page provides funding information for private (independent) schools. You can now access Pourato, the Ministry’s resourcing system, to see the latest funding information for your school | kura.
Private School Subsidy Funding
The Ministry makes grants to independent schools from the Private School Subsidy Funding pool. This funding is distributed between schools at a set rate per student.
Distribution of the fund is based on the estimated total private school rolls across New Zealand for the year. If the total private school roll increases, the set rate per student will decrease.
The Private School Subsidy Funding is paid in quarterly instalments as your operational funding. You can view the details in Pourato.
