Changes to ENROL – November 2021

• Replace ‘BOT’ and ‘Board of Trustees’ to ‘Board’
• Update ‘Special Education’ to ‘Learning Support’

Replace ‘BOT’ and ‘Board of Trustees’ to ‘Board’

‘BOT’ and ‘Board of Trustees’ have been replaced with ‘Board’ in accordance with the Education and Training Act 2020.

The following ENROL sections have been changed.

Stand-down and Suspension Details screen

The Stand-down and Suspension Details screen is displayed when the Stand-down & Suspension button is clicked from the Student Details screen.

Following the submission of a new Suspension:

Advice of Board Decision Form

This form is used to record a Board decision.

Advice of Board Reconsideration Form

The Education and Training Act 2020 section is updated when the Board decision ‘Extend Suspension with conditions’ is selected.

Cancelling Suspension Board Decision screen

This form is used for both cancellation of a Board decision and Board reconsideration.

Print Suspension Outcome

This is an example of a partial print view for a Board reconsideration.

Email notifications

The email notifications subject and body texts are updated. The emails are sent when:

• The Advice of Board Decision form is submitted:

• The Advice of Board Reconsideration form is submitted:

Withdraw Student error messages

The following error messages have been updated.

When the leave reason Exclusion is selected but the student does not have a suspension with a Board decision of Exclusion, the following error message will be displayed:

‘Students can only be excluded when they have had an Advice of Board Decision form submitted with Board decision of: Exclusion’.

When the leave reason Expulsion is selected but the student does not have a suspension with a Board decision of Expulsion, the following error message will be displayed:

‘Students can only be expelled when they have had an Advice of Board Decision form submitted with Board decision of: Expulsion’.

If a student that has a Suspension, but no decision has been made then the following error message will be displayed:

‘The Ministry has been advised this student was suspended by your school. Please submit the 'Advice of Board Decision' form before withdrawing the student’.

Update ‘Special Education’ to ‘Learning Support’

ENROL displayed ‘Special Education’ terminology. This is no longer in accordance with the Education and Training Act 2020.

The following ENROL sections have been updated.

Student Details screen

The Learning Support section appears in the Student Details and the Edit Student screens.

Reports

The following ENROL reports have been changed:

• The ‘Detailed information of students currently enrolled at my school’ report:

• The header in cell Z10 in the downloaded csv file is updated to ‘Learning Support’:

• The ‘Students receiving Learning Support Services’ report. The name of the report is updated to ‘Students receiving Learning Support Services’:

• The downloaded file name is updated to ‘StudentsreceivingLearningSupportServices.CSV’:

• The title of the downloaded csv file in cell A1 is updated to ‘Students receiving Learning Support Services’:

• The worksheet is renamed to ‘StudentsreceivingLearningSuppor’:

Email notifications

The email notifications subject and body texts are updated. The emails are sent when:

• The student record is updated with any Learning Support flag:

• A student with Learning Support enrols into a new school:
