Leave for principals and teachers

Principals and teachers are entitled to different types of leave. Your leave provisions, including how much time you can take, are set out in your employment agreement.

Your employment agreement may also allow for bereavement leave and leave to:

  • compete in sports events
  • attend cultural events
  • care for family members, or
  • participate in significant family ceremonies.
