This is the new version of the licensing criterion and associated guidance.
Criterion PF204 #
If infants, toddler or children not walking attend, there are safe and comfortable (indoor and outdoor) spaces for them to lie, roll, creep, crawl, pull themselves up, learn to walk, and to be protected from more mobile children. This does not prohibit infants and toddlers from moving throughout the premises learning alongside older children.
Guidance#
How to show you are complying#
In a home setting, children of different ages and abilities often share the same space. That’s why the environment should support infants and toddlers to safely explore and play — both indoors and outdoors.
With the right setup, they can enjoy activities like crawling, rolling, and learning to walk, while still being part of the group and learning alongside older children.
