Notice of Initiation - adult and community education staff
On 27 January 2022 the Ministry of Education received formal notification from the New Zealand Post Primary Teachers' Association Te Wehengarua (NZPPTA) that it seeks to renew the collective agreement covering ACE personnel, i.e., co-ordinators (teaching and non-teaching), professional supervisors, co-ordinator's assistants (formerly known as liaison assistants) and tutors employed in any state or state integrated schools and who is employed by a Board of Trustees.
In its notice of initiation, NZPPTA also noted its intention to claim to extend coverage of the ACE collective agreement to Out of Hours Music and Arts members.
The intended parties to the collective agreement will be the NZPPTA and the Secretary for Education acting under the delegation from the Public Service Commissioner. The agreement sought would bind all the employees defined who are, or become members of the NZPPTA and every school board employing such employees coming within the coverage of the proposed collective agreement.
A copy of the Notice of Initiation of Bargaining for the Adult and Community Education (ACE) Staff in Schools' Collective Agreement [PDF, 109 KB] needs to be provided as soon as possible to any employee(s) that may be covered by the renewed Adult and Community Education (ACE) in Schools' Collective Agreement.
