Tulī Takes Flight – Scholarships for Pacific people

To accompany the Dawn raids apology, the Government has committed $2.1 million in scholarships for Pacific people.

The 2024 Tuli Takes Flight Scholarships are now closed.

The Associate Minister of Education, Hon Aupito William Sio, has announced the establishment of the Tulī Takes Flight Scholarships. The Government has committed to providing academic and vocational scholarships to Pacific Communities as a gesture of goodwill.

The scholarships will be available to New Zealand citizens of indigenous Pacific heritage who are 18 years old and over, and who are looking to undertake vocational or academic study or training or thinking about a career change.

To mark the inaugural year, there will be a total of 30 scholarships valued at $10,000 to $30,000 for study commencing in 2022.
