Schools closed today due to weather

27 schools across Nelson, Marlborough and the West Coast have let us know they are closed for onsite learning today, impacting 1883 students. Forty Four early learning services are also closed as a result of the severe weather event.

In Tai Tokerau, thirteen schools have let us know their sites are closed today as a result of severe weather. This impacts 1,601 students. Two early learning service are also closed. 

The best information will come from schools themselves and parents and whānau are advised to check their school’s website or Facebook page or contact them directly for the latest information.  

The decision to close remains that of the Board of Trustees for schools and Centre Managers/Owners for Early Learning services. Our support is available if needed.
