Curriculum and NCEA rollout slowed

On 19 April 2023 Minister of Education Jan Tinetti announced the Government is prioritising maths, literacy, te reo Māori and pāngarau learning, while shifting the timeframes of other changes to NCEA and the national curriculum.

This decision is about listening to what kaiako and leaders have told us they need, and making sure they are fully prepared to implement the changes confidently.
