Budget 2021 supports professional learning and development using Tapasā
Budget 2021 announced $5m over four years for ongoing professional learning and development (PLD) using Tapasā: Cultural competencies for teachers of Pacific learners. The funding will provide support for teachers and leaders in early learning and in schooling.
Further information will be made available to the sector about how to apply for Tapasā PLD, from November 2021. Other resources for PLD facilitators and teachers and leaders wanting to use Tapasā as a component of their individual or school and centre wide PLD are available on Te Kete Ipurangi website.
The Tapasā resources were funded through Budget 19.
