Applications for 'Creatives in Schools' Round 4 now open

Schools and kura can now apply for Round 4 funding of the Creatives in Schools programme in partnership with their chosen professional artist.

The programme enables teachers and kaiako to work alongside creatives to deliver engaging learning experiences for students and ākonga. Schools can apply for up to $17,000 for their project. Projects can range from ngā toi Māori, visual arts, performance arts, design, digital arts to Pacific arts.

Since its announcement in 2019, more than 350 creative projects have been funded under the programme. Feedback has so far been positive from students, teachers, artists, parents and whānau who participated.

Applications close at 11.59pm Sunday 21 August 2022. Up to 200 projects will be selected in Round 4 for implementation in 2023.

The programme is delivered by Te Tāhuhu o te Mātauranga | Ministry of Education, in partnership with Manatū Taonga Ministry for Culture and Heritage and Creative New Zealand.
