The new services will reach double the current number of students and include an option of some in-school provision for schools with very high numbers of chronically absent students.
- Service providers will work with families, local communities and social agencies to deliver comprehensive services, ranging from advice and support to schools, to intensive case management of students.
- Frontline attendance services will have access to a new case management system and better data monitoring.
- The new attendance service will be fully operational from early 2026.
