Being politically impartial#

Because state and state-integrated school boards are part of the state education system, they must be politically impartial. Your school and its board members can encourage staff and parents to vote in the election, but cannot:

  • encourage them to vote (or not vote) for specific parties, policies or candidates
  • share posters, pamphlets or other political party advertising material, including billboards.
