As part of regular monitoring, we have identified that the enrolment scheme for Silverdale School needs amending.
We are seeking feedback on the proposed amendment to the enrolment scheme. Your feedback will help inform our final decision. Review the draft map and description before providing your feedback.
About enrolment schemes#
Enrolment schemes help school boards manage enrolments and make sure children who live in the home zone can attend the school.
The purpose of an enrolment scheme is to:
- help the board manage the risk of overcrowding
- provide a fair and transparent enrolment process
- make the best use of schooling facilities across the local school network.
What is changing#
We are proposing to amend the home zone of Silverdale School zone to include an increase of the overlap or shared area between Silverdale School and Dairy Flat School zones around the East Coast Heights area.
The goal is for every student to have a convenient school to attend. Safety of students and teachers is our priority.
All students who are already enrolled at Silverdale School and Dairy Flat School before a home zone is put in place or changed are entitled to stay at the school.
If approved, the changes will take effect from Term 1 2027.
