How the funding works#
ICS funding is managed by our learning support teams in regional offices. It is allocated to ākonga | students for the school year. If a student changes schools, the funding stays with them.
The funding is paid to schools and contributes to 5 hours of teacher aide support for the student.
Who can get ICS funding#
Students with the most significant learning needs may be able to get ICS funding. ICS is for students who are not already funded by the Ongoing Resourcing Scheme (ORS).
As a school, you will prioritise learners who would benefit from ICS. In some cases, the Resource Teacher: Learning and Behaviour (RTLB) service will support you to prioritise learners.
