You must immediately:

• tell a parent
• tell the Ministry of Education.

Tell a parent#

You must tell the student’s parent that the student has been expelled and the reasons for your decision to expel. (Unless the student has turned 20.)

To help you do this, you may wish to use the model letter 3 template, 'Notifying parent/s or caregivers of outcome of suspension meeting'.

You must submit the “advice of outcome of suspension” electronic form in ENROL.
