How to show you are complying#

You will need storage space for the equipment and resources your service uses.

Storage spaces can include:

• open shelving so that children choose materials themselves
• cupboards and drawers for equipment and materials that are rotated into use
• rooms for supplies like art materials
• lockable storage for hazardous materials or items not suitable for children.

Avoid stacking items on high shelves or over stacking the inside of cupboards to prevent the risk of items falling.
Make sure that storage shelving and containers are earthquake proof. 

If equipment is accessed outside of the service’s hours of operation, consider a designated area for that equipment.
