How vehicle telematic information is used#

Vehicle telematic systems use automatic vehicle location (AVL) technology to transmit information about a vehicle.

These record information about vehicle performance including:

• time
• location
• excess speed
• heavy braking
• sharp cornering.

The information can be accessed by:

• the vehicle operator
• us
• software developers working for us.

Approved AVL devices#

We approve these AVL devices for use by transport service providers:

• Ehubo 1 and Ehubo 2 – EROAD
• Fleetpin Cross Country – Fleetpin
• V5 – GreenRoad
• FM Series, MiX Telematics – Vehicle Technologies
• Qube 300 and VT102 – Teletrac
• VT75 – TrackIt

We do not have a preferred supplier from this list.

Transport service providers must do their own due diligence before entering into any commercial arrangement for supply of the technology.

Technology providers#

We are not currently taking applications from providers to be added to our list of approved AVL technology.
