Vote Education#

The Budget 2026 education package totals $2.1 billion over the next 4 years. This year’s investments are focused on progressing the new secondary curriculum, with funding for more resources and teacher professional training and development. There is also a focus on strengthening vocational education and training.

The Budget also builds on work already underway to help more learners develop the literacy and numeracy skills they need to succeed.

The funding includes $65 million reprioritised funding within Vote Education that is being reinvested into priority education initiatives in Budget 2026.
