The New Zealand Certificate of Education (NZCE) and New Zealand Advanced Certificate of Education (NZACE) are being developed alongside the refreshed curriculum.
The first NZCE cohort will be in 2029, followed by the first NZACE cohort in 2030.
Together, they will:
- provide clearer information about student achievement
- ensure assessment reflects the knowledge and practices students are expected to learn from the curriculum.
