Kia ora koutou#
As we head towards the end of the year, many kaiako are busy wrapping up learning journeys, supporting exams, and reflecting on the mahi so far. For early learning teams, the rhythm doesn’t pause, but it’s still a season for celebrating growth, connection and the incredible work happening across the motu.
In this edition, we’re spotlighting ākonga – their voices, their leadership, and the environments that help them thrive. You’ll read about students co-designing youth networks, shaping inclusive physical education lessons, and balancing leadership with academics and extra-curriculars. Some are building underwater robots and racing them on the international stage; others are setting sail through icy waters on voyages of a lifetime.
Just 2 more editions to go for 2025. We’re excited to finish the year strong.
