The scholarships honour the legacy of Victoria Cross recipient Second Lieutenant Te Moana-nui-a-Kiwa Ngarimu and the 28th (Māori) Battalion, and support ākonga Māori | Māori students in tertiary and vocational pathways to grow as leaders and give back to their communities.

A range of scholarships are available, including undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral and vocational education and training.

Scholarship applications close 19 July 2026.
