Following Budget 2025 funding, each region will now have 2 regional Leadership Advisors, doubling support for principals and tumuaki across Aotearoa.
We are seeking experienced current and recent principals to join this impactful mahi.
Outgoing Leadership Advisor Mark Brown says “what I enjoyed most was working alongside newer principals to help them build their leadership skills and to support them to manage their way through a variety of dynamic situations. I say give it a go.”
The Leadership Advisors will support the growth in leadership capability in both English- and Māori-medium settings. Secondments are available for 12-24 months with your current or most recent remuneration maintained.
In addition to regional roles, we’re recruiting for specialist positions to support key areas of the sector:
- 2 roles to support Pacific tumuaki and Pacific education (Tāmaki Makaurau/Northland and lower North Island)
- 2 roles to support area and composite schools (1 North Island and 1 South Island)
- 2 roles to support rural and small-school teaching principals (1 North Island and 1 South Island)
- 2 roles to support tumuaki Māori and Rumaki Reo Rua (Tāmaki Makaurau/Northland and lower North Island).
These roles bring targeted expertise to strengthen leadership where it’s needed most.
