Overview#

Te Waitai Sefton School has an enrolment scheme which has not been updated in many years. The current Te Waitai Sefton School home zone map does not make it clear whether both sides of boundary roads are included in the home zone. There is also a proposed extension to include an area which contained no residential addresses when the previous scheme was implemented. This is not in zone for any other school.

A minor amendment is required to update the written description and map for the home zone. This will allow more accurate identification of in-zone addresses, particularly when using online search tools. The enrolment scheme wording will also be updated to reflect the Education and Training Act 2020.

Education and Training Act 2020 – New Zealand Legislation

The proposed commencement date of this minor amendment is 1 January 2026.

You can see more details of the amendment on the map and overview document below.
