Purpose of this notification#

We have been working with Sumner School on some minor changes to their enrolment scheme, which has not been updated in many years. These changes will make their home zone boundaries clearer. This will help identify in-zone addresses, especially when using online search tools.

The enrolment scheme wording will also be updated to reflect the Education and Training Act 2020.

The proposed date for this minor amendment to take effect is 1 January 2027.

What happens next#

After the notification period, we will consider any feedback we receive and make sure this minor amendment meets the requirements of the Education and Training Act 2020. If we are satisfied that the enrolment scheme meets these requirements, we will finalise the enrolment scheme and give it to the school board to implement.
