Overview#
Loburn School has an enrolment scheme which has not been updated in many years. The current Loburn School home zone map and written description does not make it clear whether both sides of boundary roads are included in the home zone. Additionally, the current enrolment scheme does not include addresses on Tawhai Drive, which have been more recently developed.
This minor amendment is therefore required to update the written description and map for the home zone to clarify the boundaries and to also include addresses on Tawhai Drive with no local Year 1–8 provider. This will allow more accurate identification of in-zone addresses, particularly when using online search tools.
The enrolment scheme wording will also be updated to reflect the Education and Training Act 2020.
Start date#
The proposed start date of this minor amendment is 20 April 2026.
Information about the consultation#
The enrolment of out-of-zone students is governed by the provisions of the Education and Training Act 2020.
What happens next#
After the notification period, we will consider any comments received. We will then process this minor amendment to make sure it meets the requirements of the Education and Training Act 2020.
If we are satisfied that the enrolment scheme meets the requirements, the enrolment scheme will be finalised and provided to the school board to implement.
