Overview#
In the iwi and hapū model, the focus is on local needs and outcomes for the school or kura, ākonga | students and whānau | families.
We support iwi and hapū meal providers to meet the requirements for nutrition, health and safety including registering a food control plan.
We work alongside iwi and hapū meal providers and the school or kura to work out a plan for lunches. This includes needs-based support as they set up their operation.
Funding and agreements#
An outcomes agreement is signed between the iwi and hapū meal provider and us. Payments are made directly by us. You can read an example outcomes agreement below.
