For Year 1–8 students (excluding those at intermediate schools)#

These are the resourcing rolls we use to calculate your operational funding instalments.

Indicative operational funding entitlement#

We use the provisional roll including a new entrant adjustment.

1 January operational funding instalment#

We use the provisional roll including a new entrant adjustment.

1 April operational funding instalment#

If we have received your 1 March roll by the date specified on the roll count form, we use this. If we have not, we use the provisional roll. We add a new entrant adjustment in both cases.

1 July operational funding instalment#

We use the 1 March roll and add a new entrant adjustment.

1 October operational funding instalment#

We use the 1 July roll and add a new entrant adjustment.

The new entrants' adjustment#

The resourcing roll for primary, full primary, and composite schools includes a new entrant adjustment.

This is an estimate of new entrants likely to enrol before 10 October. The adjustment is added to the Year 1 roll to give an adjusted total.

  • When a March roll is used, the adjustment is worked out as eleven-twelfths of the Year 1 roll, rounded up to the nearest whole number.
  • When a July roll is used, the adjustment is worked at as five-eighteenths of the Year 1 roll, rounded up to the nearest whole number.
