Boards have two tools for property planning at their schools: the 10 Year Property Plan (10YPP) and the school property guide (SPG).

The 10 Year Property Plan (10YPP)

The 10 Year Property Plan (10YPP) is the main planning tool and sets a 10-year schedule of property work.

Property planning for integrated schools

Integrated schools must have long-term property plans that coordinate capital, maintenance and development projects. Integrated schools can choose to follow the Ministry’s 10 Year Property Plan (10YPP) process, which includes updating a Condition Assessment each year.
