Tairāwhiti and Hawke’s Bay School/Kura and ECE closures

We have two schools closed:

• Rere School  in Tairāwhiti affecting 29 ākonga
• Tapu school in Waikato affecting 14 ākonga. 

Waiapu Kids and Whare Amai Puna Reo early learning services in Tairāwhiti are closed affecting up to 50 tamariki. 

School buses in Tolaga Bay have been cancelled today. 

The best information will come from schools themselves and parents and whānau are advised to check their school’s website or Facebook page or contact them directly for the latest information. 

The decision to close remains that of the Board of Trustees for schools and Centre Managers/Owners for Early Learning services. Our support is available if needed.
