Interviewing underway for the OECD’s Survey of Adult Skills
New Zealand is participating in Cycle 2 of the OECD's Survey of Adult Skills. The Survey collects information on literacy, numeracy and problem-solving skills and their use in everyday life and work.
The Ministry of Education has contracted research company Reach Aotearoa (formerly CBG) to interview a representative sample of New Zealanders aged 16-75. Reach is contacting households across the country until mid-June 2023.
The Ministry of Education encourages those selected to participate given the value of the resulting information for understanding New Zealanders’ skills. Your individual information is confidential and fully protected.
The local name for the survey is the 'New Zealand Study of Adult Skills (NZSAS)', and it is part of the OECD’s Programme for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies (PIAAC).
