The Ministry selects 10YPP consultants for schools from the 10YPP Consultant Panel through a secondary tender process. The panel was created following a separate pre-qualification process.
To become a 10YPP consultant you must work for a company on the panel and must have completed the Ministry training.
The panel is available on: Engagement of a 10YPP consultant
10YPP training is compulsory for all consultants developing property plans for schools. It is a distance learning package that includes readings, videos, exercises and assessments and you will also be required to attend three one-hour webinar sessions. This has replaced the classroom sessions, and no travel will be required to attend the training as it will all be done remotely.
Once you have completed the training you can be listed on the panel.
Each year the Ministry will tender small bundles of 3-8 schools whose 10YPP is due and those bundles will be offered by closed tender to consultants on the 10YPP Consultants Panel.
After you are engaged by the Ministry as a 10YPP consultant, you will need to request access to the following systems if you don’t already have access, or request access to new schools:
- Education sector login
- WebFM MPlan computer system
- Helios Portal
- 10YPP Application
