Early Learning: Pay Parity Funding Review – Consultation open
From 12 April to 23 May 2023 the Ministry is consulting on proposals resulting from its Pay Parity Funding Review.
The consultation includes a proposal to help fully implement pay parity for certificated teachers in education and care services (including hospital-based services) with their counterparts in kindergartens. The consultation also includes proposals around pay for coordinators in home-based services.

During the consultation, we will run a series of hui, some in person (at various locations around the country) and some online. The hui are intended to explain the Ministry’s proposals and allow people to ask any questions they have about the proposals, as well as inform their submissions.
