School Transport - Information for Māori Medium Schools

Who is eligible?
- Kura Kaupapa Māori
- Designated character wharekura that provide education under Section 155 or 156 of the Education Act 1989
Rates are paid to school boards quarterly, and are reviewed every year.
These rates are for 1 July 2018 to 30 June 2019.

Māori Medium schools are paid $3.35 per student, per quarter.
How is funding worked out for each school?
The amount the school is paid each quarter is:
Per-student rate x eligible students x annual gazetted school days ÷ 4 + Eligible students x per-student admin rate of $3.35 + GST
