Pacific Education Support and Innovation Funds

The Pacific Education Support Fund and the Pacific Education Innovation Fund are part of the $80.2m investment in Pacific Education, through the Budget 2020 COVID-19 Response and Recovery fund, as one of the supports for implementing the Action Plan for Pacific Education 2020-2030.

Pacific providers, organisations and community groups across Aotearoa were invited to apply for the Pacific Education Support Fund or the Pacific Education Innovation Fund during the 2020 and 2021 funding rounds. A number of the successful providers continue to deliver programmes and services into round 3 and 4 to support Pacific learners’ and their family’s wellbeing and educational-related needs across Aotearoa.

The two funding streams have been made available to be used for four years from 2020-2024.

Round 4 Funding update

To meet the ongoing needs of Pacific learners and their families, the current services and programmes that are being delivered through the Pacific Education Support and Innovation funds, will continue with existing Pacific providers for round 4 funding. This will enable current providers to make further progress in expanding their service provision or deliver new services where they have identified gaps.
