Reform of Vocational Education consultation ends
The consultation on the proposals for the Reform of Vocational Education closed on Friday, 5 April 2019.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to attend an event or meeting, complete an online survey or make a submission. In total, nearly 200 events and meetings were held around the country, with thousands of people attending. We have received just over 1,500 submissions.
All feedback is now being carefully considered. The final recommendations will be presented to Cabinet for a decision by mid-2019, after which an announcement is likely to be made. Exact dates are still to be confirmed.
While the reform process continues, it will be business as usual for learners, both domestic and international. They should continue with their studies and enrol in courses as normal.
We will continue to keep people informed through this website and the Kōrero Mātauranga website.
