2011 term dates

Differences for 2011

  • The usual length of each school term was adjusted for 2011. Terms 1 and 2 were slightly longer than usual, and term 4 was two weeks shorter. This adjustment was made to align the October term holiday with the final stages of the Rugby World Cup 2011 tournament.
  • The earliest start date for 2011 was amended. The earliest date schools could open in 2011 was Monday 31 January (rather than Tuesday 1 February as had been previously).
