Education Amendment Bill (No 4)

The Education Amendment Bill (No 4) was introduced to Parliament on 6 April 2011.

The objectives of the bill are:

  • to strengthen the regulation of the tertiary education system by improving and modernising the New Zealand Qualification Authority’s legal arrangements; and
  • to facilitate the expansion of international education and to safeguard the quality and reputation of the New Zealand education system; and
  • to increase transparency and accountability in the tertiary education system.
