Ministry of Education commemoration

This page is to honour and commemorate those from the Department of Education who served in World War I.  In all, 43 men and one woman from the Department of Education served.   Six were killed. Of the six men killed, five were cadets or clerks at Head Office in Wellington, and one was a physical education instructor working in the Dunedin office. All were in their early 20s.
